The goal of this class is to prepare you with a strong technical foundation as well as inspire you to open your heart and delight in the gift of touch. This course approaches bodywork as a spiritual practice. Through Yoga and meditation you will begin to raise your own awareness and inner guidance. From this centered place, learn how to touch both skillfully and compassionately, sharing the healing potential of sacred touch. This class provides you with an in–depth introduction to the fundamental principles of massage therapy as well as the practical skills you will need to become a successful therapist, and is designed for those with little or no bodywork training.

Michelle Carbonneau

Michelle Carbonneau is a State of Hawaii licensed Massage Therapist and a Yoga Alliance Certified Instructor.
Her experience includes teaching massage therapy theory and practice principles and anatomy and physiology for both massage and yoga certification courses.
She has also served as a Director of Education for a Hawaii State Department of Education massage-licensing program.
Michelle shares her knowledge of the human body’s inner-workings and how the choices people make affect overall health. Body mechanics and developing a unique creative massage style is her passion when teaching massage therapy. Michelle has a degree in Chemistry and Business Administration from the University of New Hampshire and began her career as an educator teaching secondary education. She has started yoga programs for both high school and massage therapy students as the need for self-care and stress reduction continues to be a growing need.
